The THERAPEUTIC GOODS ACT (TGA) demands we can only provide information to practitioners who are exempted in Regulation 4 of the TGA regulations.  Regulation 6 of the TGA 1989 prohibits the publication of an advertisement that contains a prohibited representation.  The prohibited representations are listed in Part 1 of Schedule 2 and included causes 4 & 7 of the TGA advertising Code.

 

PERSONS LISTED BELOW ARE EXEMPT FROM ADVERTISING RESTRICTIONS

Herbalist, Homeopathic practitioners, Naturopaths, Nutritionists, Practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Osteopaths registered under a law of a State or Territory, Chiropractors, Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists, Dentists, Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Biomedical engineers, Medical Scientists in accredited laboratories, Purchasing Officers in hospitals or other health care professionals who are engaged in the business of purchasing wholesale therapeutic goods.

  

OPENING AN ACCOUNT

Please click here to download and print out our application form, simply complete this and fax or post back together with a copy of your qualifications (degree, diploma, etc) or academic record from your educational institution, or business registration certificate for a retail outlet, and you can begin trading.

 

BUSINESS HOURS OF OPERATION

8:30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm Friday. Closed from 3pm on the last day of each month for training. Qld office hours are 8am to 4:30pm

 

DELIVERY SERVICE

Orders from customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold & Sunshine Coast & Toowoomba placed before 10am will be despatched on a same day delivery service.

Orders placed before 1pm will be despatched the same day for delivery the following day, or longer in remote areas. Orders for perishable items will not be despatched on Friday’s.

 Customers wishing their parcels left at or near their delivery address without signature must complete an “Authority to Leave Parcels” form. Life-Span is not responsible for any loss, damage or theft resulting from goods being left at premises.

 

FREIGHT

A minimum order of $50 applies. Orders in excess of $200 will be despatched freight free, orders under $200 will attract the following freight and administration charges:

Capital city $6 + GST, Country areas $9 + GST

 Customers wishing to drop ship to another location such as patients in country areas will attract an additional $7.50 charge in addition to normal freight charges.

 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Freight and insurance charges to overseas destinations are determined prior to despatch and invoicing. All orders destined for overseas destinations must be prepaid for goods and freight charges. Charges such as duty, customs  tariffs & processing, freight charges are all the responsibility of the consignee.

 

PICK UP ORDERS

Orders may be faxed, emailed or phoned in ahead. For speed and efficiency, please advise your desired pick up time so the goods and invoice may be processed and ready for you. Please allow 2 hours lead time from the time of order placement. Customer pick up times are between the hours of 10am to 4pm.

 

OUT OF STOCK PRODUCTS

OOS’s are an unfortunate fact of life when dealing with natural materials. Life-Span does not keep back orders. When items are OOS we change the material description on your invoices to advise you of the expected delivery date of the item.

Ø      SOS means Supplier out of Stock and a date is given

Ø      SOS-ND denotes the supplier is out of stock and cannot give an estimated delivery date to Life-Span

Ø      DWS denotes the supplier has advised the item is being deleted from their range, once the stock on hand is exhausted it will no longer be available

 

 TERMS

Normal terms of trade are 30 days from date of invoice for customers who qualify for a trading account - unless specified otherwise.

 

METHOD OF PAYMENT

Settlement of accounts will be accepted in the form of cash, cheque, money order or bank transfer (B-Pay and Post-Pay are not offered currently). Accounts may be settled by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or Bankcard) at the time of order or within seven days of the invoice date.

 OVERDUE ACCOUNTS

Any account falling outside 60 days of normal trading terms may be charged 2% of the outstanding balance per month. Life-Span reserves the right to recover any additional costs incurred in relation to collection of any overdue debt.

 NEW CUSTOMERS

New accounts need to pay for their orders prior to dispatch until such time their account is put on credit terms. After the account is put on credit terms, normal trading terms will apply.

CASUAL CUSTOMERS

Payments for all accounts that purchase less that $1,000 annually (July to June) is required prior to goods being dispatched.
